A Georgian cylinder roll top bureau bookcase with a moulded cornice over astragal glazed doors, behind which the interior is fitted with adjustable shelves.
 
The lower bureau section features a cylinder roll top with reeded edges, enclosing a sliding writing slope and an arrangement of small drawers and pigeon holes. Cockbeaded drawers below, all with brass knobs and lock escutcheons.  Finished on a base with a reeded edge and four turned supports.
 
The overall condition is superb with the only blemish being a small crack to one of the panes on the left hand door and wear to the baize writing slope.  See images for details.  A fine example of Georgian furniture design.
