A simply stunning Chippendale style, George III (Circa 1760-1780) mahogany writing table. The upper portion has a galleried top with two sliding tambour fronted doors opening to reveal seven divisions above three drawers. The main writing surface, with a retractable centre section, sits over three frieze drawers and is raised on beautifully channelled square legs on block feet with castors below.
An amazing example of late 18th century furnture making and design.
