A wonderful early 20th C. scratch built model of a traditional Falmouth Working Boat.
The Falmouth Working Boat is a type of small traditional sailing craft that evolved for fishing in the waters around Falmouth.
Falmouth working boats have a gaff cutter rig and a long keel hull. As well as being general-purposee fishing boats, they had a specific function of dredging native native oysters.
In the summer months, these living relics are now raced and with the addition of a colourful topsail make an impressive sight when under sail.
A rare model of this classic 19th century boat design.
