Having an unusual scumble grain paint and gesso finish with a carved raised back and sides which would have been designed for use as a dressing table or wash-stand.  Worth noting is the beautiful hand painted black pin-stripe detailing around the drawers and gallery and the large turned wooden feet.
 
Overall condition is very good with wear and patina commensurate with age.  A stunning decorative piece of Folk Art furniture, and useful in many different rooms.
