A wondeful 17th Century joined oak coffer with a triple panel lid having run-moulded framework above twin side panels and a four panel facade. The frieze rail is enriched with a carved & nail-punched geometric band above run-moulding. The plain front panels are centred by a broad muntin emblazoned with a flowering plant with a fanned bloom defined against a recessed ground. Finshed on moulded stiles.
In solid, gently worn, original condition. Wear and tear commensurate with use.
