A 19thC Wedgwood jug, made to commemorate the Death of Benjamin Disraeli in 1881. Decorated with printed and painted panels including a bust of Disraeli himself within a laurel wreath. Impressed mark to the underside.
Provenance:
Previously the collection of The Lord Cormack, gifted to him by Pam Powell as thanks for giving the address at Enoch's funeral.
The overall condtion is very good. We have noted two very light cracks to the interior of the rim, and three areas on the handle where the finish has been worn away.
A beautifully decorative jug with an interesting history.
