An attractive and unusual 19th Century Slipware Baluster Jug.
 
This pretty little jug has an unglazed exterior overlaid with cream slip decoration depicting a pair of chinoiserie dragons amidst flowers.  Finished with a cream slip handle and foot and having an interior lined with yellow glaze.
 
Incised to the base 'M HAGGAS January 1853'.
 
In lovely original condition with only a very light chip to the underside of the spout and a hairline split to the rim being the only areas of note.  
 
A charming decorative piece.
